How Obligo redefined their digital presence for modern renting
With a site migration to Webflow, Composite helped Obligo refine their UX, elevate performance, and communicate the value of deposit-free renting with clarity and impact.
Obligo is a New York based fintech company revolutionizing the rental process by offering deposit-free leasing and modern payment solutions for renters and landlords. Their platform helps streamline onboarding, improve cash flow, and reduce friction for property owners and residents alike. With backing from major investors and adoption across top property management groups, Obligo is helping shape the future of real estate transactions.
What Was Done
The Challenge
When Obligo came to Composite, their WordPress site had become difficult to manage and no longer reflected the forward-thinking nature of their product. They needed a fast, reliable migration to a more flexible platform, along with UX updates that would support lead generation and content discovery.
The Solution
We migrated Obligo’s site from WordPress to Webflow in just three weeks, rebuilding over 30 custom pages and importing their full content library. While the Obligo team provided initial designs, we helped refine key layouts and user flows to better support storytelling and lead gen.
To enhance performance and discoverability, we added SEO-friendly schema markup, page-level metadata, and optimized heading structure. We also animated their signature illustrations, bringing energy and clarity to their product narrative without compromising performance.
Integrations That Scale
As with most Composite builds, we integrated HubSpot natively into the site. This gave Obligo’s marketing team a seamless way to capture leads, track user engagement, and align sales follow-ups—all without leaving their CMS.
Motion and Interactivity
We used Lottie animations throughout the site to create an immersive and engaging experience. A custom phone mockup was designed to showcase a working version of Obligo’s product, helping users visualize how deposit-free renting works in practice. Other animations were added for clarity and visual energy, reinforcing brand storytelling without slowing load times.
To simplify compliance education, we also built an interactive map page that highlights rental regulations state by state. This tool made it easy for users to quickly find their state and understand relevant laws—turning a complex dataset into a clear, engaging experience.
The Results
The new site launched on time and on brand, providing a stable, scalable foundation that allows the Obligo team to update content with ease. With animated visuals, a refined UX, and integrated lead capture, the new site better communicates the value of deposit-free renting to both tenants and property managers.
